I dont have a tivo so i really wouldn't know. I believe the best part of it is if your going on a trip than you can take them. Of course thats what you said. I haven't used it either and I have an ipod. A lot of people have said that they watch tutorials about things they need to learn. You should look into that as am I for getting information.
